Setting Outlook as your email client even if it is not installed on the server

Outlook must be installed on the server to change the email client for an approved PDFMAILER printer to “Outlook” in the settings .

You can use the following workaround if Outlook is not installed on the server:

 

1.Log in to a client, which has Outlook installed using the credentials of a user with full access to the directory specified in Network sharing .

2.Open the gotomaxx PDFMAILER Manager and go to the settings for the relevant PDFMAILER printer.

3.Now change the email client in the email settings to “Outlook”.

4.Save your changes and close gotomaxx PDFMAILER Manager on the client.

 

Due to your write permission, the setting should now be saved centrally and be available to all users.

 

Caution:

Do not access the email settings on the server once this is done.

The email client settings would otherwise be discarded (because Outlook is not installed on the server).
