Address requirements

Specific requirements in terms of formatting and positioning of the recipient address and sender address must be met to send a letter via the gotomaxx Portal. The following illustration shows the optimal positioning of the address areas.

The following formatting points must also be observed in addition to positioning:

Use a machine-readable font. Preferably a sans serif font like Arial.

Use a maximum of 6 lines for the recipient address.

The country name must be added in German, French or English language as the last address line for international letters. There should be no empty line between the city and the country.

No ISO country code must be added in front of the post code (e.g. AT-6598 Vienna), as this might cause a delivery error.

Addresses for domestic letters should not contain a destination country.

Make sure to comply with these requirements to ensure quick and error-free letter deliveries in automated mass mailings. Adjust the letter layout in the application you will be using for printing accordingly. As a workaround for individually mailed documents, you can use the gotomaxx PDFMAILER address correction feature (if your addresses don’t meet the requirements).
